Restaurant Bukhara started its Eastern style seduction of
Western tastebuds in November 1995. Founder and host, Dr Sabi
Sabharwal, together with his wife, Elana, has skilfully blended
tradition with the 90's obsession with trends.
The popular concepts of choice and personal freedom are
predominant themes at Bukhara. They are experienced though the
extensive food and beverage range offered.
Bukhara's roots may be traditional, yet the dining experience
continuously sought after by businessmen, Parliamentarians and by
anyone who values atmospheric, culinary and service excellence, is
totally unique.
|
Bukhara appeals to both discerning locals and tourists with a
taste of spicy food -"spicy" does not mean hot. The design and
situation of Bukhara adds to the overall ambience. One side is
flanked by large windows overlooking quaint Church Street, the
other side encases the open plan kitchen in glass. This openly
displays the workings of the highly skilled Indian chefs, the
authentic charcoal fired Tandoor ovens, as well as the making of
the tandoori dishes and nan breads.
"Our teachings tell us that not just the act, but the meaning
of the act should be paramount."
Therefore, every meal at Bukhara is made not just with the
intent of making food, but also with the intent of honouring its
guests. |
We at Bukhara have also introduced a new Bukhara to its range of
stores, Tandoor Seapoint; Curry Factory Canal Walk & Grandwest
Casino. The new store is situated inside the Grandwest Casino in
The District. The style and atmosphere are what one would expect
from Restaurant Bukhara and it is making the Bukhara experience
even more flavourable. So feel free to join us at any branch to
experience authentic Indian cuisine. |

From Muizenberg follow the M3 through to Eastern Boulevard. From
there take the Strand Street offramp and follow to the Adderley
Street Intersection. Turn left into Adderley Street and follow the
road all the way to the top where it turns right into Wale Street.
At the second set of robots turn right into Burg St and first left
into Church. You'll find us on the left hand side of the road.
